Yu Shuzhen (1936 -), born in Fucheng County, Hebei Province, is a Chinese soprano and opera singer. She is also the fourth standing director and fifth director of the Chinese Musical Association, and the fifth and sixth deputy of the National People's Congress. In 1956, Yu Shuzhen first showed her talent in the Tianjin Workers' Amateur Show, and then transferred to the Tianjin Song and Dance Theatre, playing the leading role in the opera. At the end of the 1950s, Yu Shuzhen was engaged in solo singing. Her singing voice was sweet and fresh and beautiful, which was deeply loved by the masses and was praised on many visits abroad. In the 1980s, Yu Shuzhen's songs were widely sung across the country and became classics for a generation. In 1979, Yu sang the song "Our Life is Full of Sunshine" for the film "Sweet Career". In 1982, he held a solo concert in Tianjin.
